I think a very interesting quote from this story is “And maybe, for your generation, the Trojan Horse is what you’ve got, your talent, backed by a legion of friends. Not friends in high places. This is the era of Friends in Low Places. The ones you meet now, who will notice you, challenge you, work with you, and watch your back. Maybe they will be your strength.” This has to do with me because I definitely see my friends and peers that I meet here as a sort of Journalistic support group. They challenge me because I get to see what work they have done, and they challenge by showing me what I am capable of and giving me all sorts of feedback.
The article I got the quote from and read is http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/notrocketscience/2011/05/12/“there-are-some-people-who-don’t-wait-”-robert-krulwich-on-the-future-of-journalism/
