For students all over campus parking garages have made the school experience a little easier. The parking garages available to students are the Conley Avenue, Hitt Street, Maryland Avenue, Turner Avenue, University Avenue, and Virginia Avenue garages.
To get a spot at most of these garages you have to apply to get a parking pass. These passes are in strong demand so they are given out on seniority system where seniors are given first availability, then juniors and so on.
If you’re a freshman or even sophomore and live off campus there is still hope to park on campus. The Turner Garage offers 3 levels of parking where students can use their credit cards or cash to pay for parking.
I talked to Dan Kelly a sophomore at Mizzou and he said “I love parking at Turner Garage because I know I’ll always have a spot and I don’t have to carry change around.”
These electronic meters save time by allowing students to use their credit cards or debit cards and pay for parking by the hour up to 11 hours.
Dan Kelly also said, “Sometimes when I would look for a parking meter on campus there wouldn’t be any open. This made me try parking garages.”
Parking garages at Mizzou also offer peace of mind. With all 6 garages and Turner Avenue offering special metered parking this allows for a large amount of students to bypass traditional metered parking.
